spirits talking

The spirits of the earth are calling
For what I'm not quite sure
Leading in quick glimpses of sight, sound and scent
I see the spirit of the trees, he knows something but does not tell
I hear the rustle of the spirit of the corn, what does he say but "I'm here"
I smell the scent of angels, bringing me calm.
So today I will just Pay attention to my earth
So that tomorrow, and the next tomorrows. I can protect her

Every Minute

Yes, I would die each day
I would wake up to a foreign world
to see with new eyes what only travelers may see
to seek the Spirit only, to walk between the veils
Yes, I would die each day
I would trust the universe to care for me while I explore
I may love all, they would be new too
I would not anger or worry, knowing all is there for me
Yes i would die each day
Do not rip me back to mindless living
Let me only be where I am,
truly, let me die each day.

Beginning and Ending

Before the opening was done the singing started. Et ay eh yah na ne eh ah...........A far away voice from a far away time. "wait crows, wait for the beginning, all in time, wait I will willingly go with you after calling the ancestors". As we call the ancestors I hear the chanting and the pounding fierceness of the drums.
OK crows I am ready to fly. Black crows talons in my arms, they bear me up, apart of the sky, through the veil. Never forgetting snake, as she is always near, I carry her in my arms and on my shoulders, she comes with me in other worlds wherever I may go. She opens the new for me and is my companion and friend.
I cry out "Crows, show me the song of the spheres, I don't know what they are, I don't know what to look for" Walking awhile with crows flying above me I encounter a being, a woman, she is mostly blue light, I can not make out her features as she is covered in a blue robe and she is a column of blue and white light. She tells me her name which I can not say to anyone. I ask if she is for me, she answers affirmatively. We are standing on a what seems to be a ledge , a part of a mountain, as I feel that we are up high but there is nothing around us. She is holding several spheres, they are filled with darkness and stars. She starts throwing them into the nothingness and they explode into universes. She tells me "These are the beginning". Handing me an orb she tells me that this is my universe. As I stand holding the orb it engulfs me so that I am inside it then contracts and I am holding it again. The woman of light tells me that this is my universe she instructs me to throw it out there. As I throw the sphere she whispers that I can make it just what I want to.
The dance of the spheres begin, I hear the chanting of old times again. I hear the drum singing. The orbs are circling around me and I am shown to do a spiral dance called to the center and back again. To the beginning and the end. As I am dancing a man with a wolfs head comes to me. He bites me on the shoulder and says "Come here with me now, I have something to show you". He drags me to underworld through my forest to a prairie where there is a den filled with 3 baby wolves. He says " Look at them and remember them. Look at them closely". I ask "What does this mean? I am crying, tears running down my face I look at them and then back at him . He tells me "The spirit babies are here with us they are safe ". We turn into the fog of a dark morning or night and start walking, I can not see the den any longer only a densely fogged forest.
I hear the drum calling me back, I say thank you I have to go. Wolf says "Not yet...wait. I want to tell you one more thing today". "What wolf, what do you say?" I am close to saying I will stay here longer, as long as you want, I will ignore the drums call. He then whispers "I am part of you, I am with you, just remember". Then he fades and crow flies me back to now.

Seeking Vision

Seeking vision
Burning herbs
Drumming quickly
Going to underworld to seek a vision
of the unknown.
As I wish I go alone
down to the green depths of jungle
Animals say
I'm no help to you today
as one by one they turn away.
shamans also turn their backs to me,
they will not turn around no matter
if I ask a hundred times.
Mother smiles warmly and says---
go
So I sit in the circle, in the jungle, alone in the quiet
I look at the stars
as I get smaller and smaller Father sky looks down at me
I know he is there
I hear
Father is the key
The sky is dark, the stars brightly shine.
Mother earth comes and touches my hair.
I rise and say goodbye and thank you
As I pass the Shamans I call to them
You are my brothers, I call the light to you.
I cover them in shining golden light.
They turn
They smile
They surround me in a circle and say
We will dance you till you leave.
They dance
My heart lightens and I turn into crow
and fly home.

You Make Me Cry

Who is it?

Grasping the familiar root I climb to underworld. Dirt and roots all around me yet I feel none of it. Dropping down from bottom root I enter a dark quiet cavern. Every footfall echos into nothing. The pool of clear gray-blue water is cool but not chilling as I wade across to get to the rabbit hole. Now going down the hole is quick and I know where it leads, a prairie of soft tan grasses and wildflowers. On the edge is a house, a gateway to knowing. I ask permission to enter. I walk straight ahead to find Davids spirit animal. Two long white vertical lines appear. I say I can not read symbols please give me the face of an animal , I've come to find Davids helper. thinking of a giraffe and the association with tall lean lines I see one standing just next to me. I ask the giraffe "are you Dave's spirit animal?" The giraffe rolls his eyes at me. I say well I've come to find Dave's spirit animal are you sure you are not it? He rolls his eyes at me again. I say will you please help me find his guide? I look to my right and a two humped brown camel spits on me and says "I am here" I ask if he is David's spirit animal (just to make sure) and he says yes. It seemed like it was very quick so I was going to walk around and I ask if there is anything I should know and then a voice says "You are done here" I then blew the spirit into Davids heart and shook the rattles.
David journeyed for me and found Hippo for my guide, she had a scar on her. He also saw spider and put it on my head and it crawled into my neck and down my spine. Thankyou spirits for helping us along the way and teaching us and opening our eyes.

Gratitude

May I come again to upper world I humbly ask my spirit guides. I just left and I forgot to say thankyou. This time I become snake and I became crow . I fly straight to the room with the pillars and meet my guide. I thank her for her assistance in my journey tonight. I also thank my animal guides as well. She then tells me OK now go heal. So my spirit called upon the light energy and gave each person in the room a healing light of a different color. The energy became a whirlwind around the room and then settled down. I then rode upon crows back to the real world and thanked each helper.

Together

What journey is this? I ask to go to underworld and am taken to the heights of heaven. Crow has blessed me with protections of black feathers and shielded me from darkness. Snake has filled me with energy.
Feeling the air beneath my wings I am bird, I fly and fly just enjoying the freedom and quiet. suddenly my chest hurts so I stop mid air and crow wraps around me to stop the intrusion. We continue to upper world where permission is given to enter. There is a market there with outside stalls. I visit the metal smith, then several others who tell me to move on.
Crow then flies me to another place in upper world. It is quiet. The room has pillars with long flowing pale thin curtains. I meet a woman who says whe is my spirit guide her name is something like mariyda. She tells me to feel the drums in my chest. I spend the rest of the journey listening to the drums beat as my heart.

Answers are clear

The singing drum takes me to answers of which I knew but did not want to hear.
Alone is my journey. To walk like a shaman . To walk between the veils of here and there to see what is. To give away everything in my life, a sharp cut from there to here. I journeyed tonight to receive an answer to how to proceed. I was shown my past life my past places and told to say goodbye to these. I was shown my safety place and told it is no more. I was shown my current life with all my connections and told these are changing, you are apart. Shed this current skin, break out of the Crysalis. Initiate me into the future with welcoming arms Mother Earth says it is a beginning, It is my path. My path requires a leap into nothing, a leap with open arms to emptiness that is everything. Soaring on the back of disheveled crow I fly into the night with angels and guides. I soar with snake spirit teaching me how to shed my skin.

Why I call my energies from source,
Why the East, South, West, North guide me,
Why mother Earth is my spirit guide
and Father Sky watches over me.
The spirit within is a whirlwind of light
that comes from above
That flings me below to see what is unseen.
That carries me on air to tell me my path is right.
The spirit within me makes me great and makes me nothing.
it lifts me up and then shatters me into fragments of broken pieces
So who am I? I journey to be told ....and am told to declare myself.
I declare myself and am told to be humble.

Live drumming journey

We ( Melanie, Michelle, Dave, Dan and David), went to our first shamanic class. We talked and learned then we went on a juorney in a journey circle. The Shaman drummed for us. I liked the sound of the real drums as opposed to the drums on tape. Starting the journey I decended to the underworld the same way I usually go. Down the root of the tree in my moms front yard, to the cavern, to the mud slide to the clearing and the house. I called for other mother and asked if I could go through to the other world. Permission granted I went throught the house to the other side. This time I climbed the boulder mountain. Snake was my animal spirit guide. She guided me almost to the top of the mountain. My intent was to find out what to do or how I could heal from this cough I have. Snake introduced me to ram with big long pointy horns. I was given a headdress with 2 horns and a cap of some kind of brown leather. Then ram pierced my chest in my lungs. Snake turned into snake dragon and flew me down a black tunnel with a few pinpoint lights and several faces appeared to me. I did not recognize anyone I saw.. We went down to the center of the earth. I turned into a fly or some other small flying thing. Frog, who was sitting on the center core of earth the ate me. I became a pinpoint of light. I grew into a bigger ball of light and then merged with the lava flow in the earth. The lava then poured out of a mountain and flowed down the mountain with me in it. As the lava flowed I became steam and rose into the air and became air. I then was called back and my spirit self flew to my body and entered it. Journey done.

Short Journey.

My journey was hard to starte this time. My mind kept wandering, I was thinking about so many things it was harder to quiet my mind. I did some meditaion and concentrated on the breath. I used the drumming with whistles this time. My guides were 4 snakes. The travel to the underworld was fairly quick after I actually got started. I used the same portals. I did try to go around the house. There was some shrubery and a flowing river to the side of the house. As I tried to go through the shrubs the foliage and thorns kept getting denser and denser. I had to go through the house to get to the underworld. I did not meet any human form guides or other people. Snake called other snakes and I was covered in snakes right away when I stepped into underworld. Snakes were coiling up my legs and arms and back. A long thick snake came toward me and all the snakes that were on me slowly came off . This long snake wrapped itself around me starting at my feet coiling itself up my entire body to the top of my head. I didn't feel afraid or feel suffocated with this snake wrapping me up like a mummy but I was confused to why this was going onso I ended the journey.
Thank you spirit guides for this journey. I ask for validation of these journeys.

Soul Retrieval

5/27/09 My goal is to find out if I can find a lost piece of my soul.
This one is going to be pieced together from memory because I didn't write all of this journey down right away, I wrote short little notes . I started this journey as before. I sit and calm myself and my mind. I put the drumming on. I call upon my Reiki enegy. As before I say Cho Ku Rei (put the power here). I say Sei He Ki (Mental emotional healing symbol). I say Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen ( distance healing symbol to go to the underworld with me). I call Raku (Kundalini snake/fire). I ask who I will need to go on this Journey. Snake says I will only need her but I can have any go that I feel I need. Snake says she gets me to the underworld. This time 6 snakes accompany me through the earth to the gatekeeper. I wear my spirit guides on me as I go. One snake wrapped around my midsection. One wrapped around my head and neck, one on each extremity.
This time I follow through the forest without looking at any other way. We travel to see spirit woman. When we enter the door we see a young woman with long black hair. I say "Spirit woman, grandmother earth you are not old". She replies "I don't have to be". She asks me why I have come this time. I tell her that because of my continued feelings of loss that keep coming up because of my father I wanted to do a soul retrieval. I tell her that many times I have felt abandoned by different men in my life. Because of this I am often sad and feel alone. I have feelings of worthlessness and sometimes feel that I am not seen. Spirit woman sat with me and said over and over to my soul. "They abandoned the best part of you, the part that they left was good and whole. They lost a part of their soul by leaving you. You do not need to retrieve your piece of soul about this they do". This was wordless but very loud in my mind.
We then sat for a few minutes silent as before. I said well if there is nothing else to say I will be leaving now. Silence continued as we sat for another few minutes. I rose and turned to go and she said "You are not done yet". I didn't understand so I asked "what else then". She then said "Show me your Reiki energy". I stood and raised my arms up palms up and flat. I started by making a small yellow and white energy ball in each palm. I then made the energy balls grow and move down both arms to my heart. I felt the energy in the length of my arms and in my heart as warm and humming. The energy continued to grow in my center. The energy then turned into fire which grew to consume my whole body. This fire did not burn me. This fire grew to twice my size all around me. As this energy seemed to get too big for me to hold Spirit woman told me to send it out to the world. I then sent the healing energy to my house and out the windows and doors to the world. Spirit woman thanked me and said I was to send this energy out often. My journey was now over and we went back.

After this journey I had a mark on my left arm about 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. My daughter said it looked like a snake mark. It is still there a week later.

Journey meeting human form of spirit guide in underworld

Journey 5/25/09

Down to the muddy depths with Snake wrapped around me, Fox and Coyote silently at my side and Owl headress on. I journey down through the roots of the tree. This time I see a spiral ladder that I climb down, this turns into a straight down metal ladder. When we get to the cavern snake wants me covered in mud. Mud from the top of my head to the bottoms of my feet. Through the cavern down the tunnel to the house as before. The woman greets us, it is the same woman as in dream time and last journey. She now tells us that she is Gatekeeper. I ask if she is my spirit guide and she says no she is not a spirit guide. This time the door on the other side is a screen door. I go through to underworld. The rocks and boulders are to my leftside. Looking to the center I see a long field with wild grass and wild flowers. To my right is a dirt path. I follow the dirt path. When on the dirt path there is nothing behind me or to each side but mist and fog. As I am following the dirt path I come to a forest. The forest is oak and elm type trees and pine trees. There are dried leaves on the ground. The forest changes as I walk. It changes into a rain forest still with the dry leaves on the ground. I look up and there is a Mayan Shaman looking man coming toward me. He greets me and welcomes me to shaman. This man paints 2 half inch white stripes starting at my waist on the right side around to my back crossing up and over my left shoulder and down through the middle of my breasts to the left side. He paints a white snake head at the end. He does the same to my other side. At this point 7 other men all painted and decorated come over to greet me. One paints yellow dots on my face and another puts white stripes under my eyes. All of them are saying welcome. All of them are murmuring and talking to me but I can't understand anything else they are saying. I get a feeling that I need to move on so I say I have to go now and we (animal guides and myself) continue through the forest.

We see and opening in the forest and go that way. The open area is dirt ground with patchy short weeds and grass. There are several small structures like huts, I can't quite make out what they are made of. There is a small 1 room log building on the far side of the village. We go to this house and enter through a deerskin door. There is an old old woman dressed like and old Indian woman. She has a white bone necklace on. She is sitting at a small wooden table with 2 chairs. I remain standing. I ask " Are you my guide?'' She answers yes.I ask her her name. There is silence for a few minutes. Then she says " You can call me Spirit woman." Then she says "grandmother earth". She then says " Your name is snake woman here". I answer "ok can you show me around down here". She says " You just came to meet your spirit guide". At this point we just are there for awhile not speaking. I then turn around and leave. As we are returning I can not see anything but the dirt path in front of me. Everything else is dark. I come back home. Yhank you spirit guide for letting me meet you and speaking to me. Thankyou spirit animal guides for going with me.

Journey to the underworld.

I am writing these so I don't forget. It seems like I feel like I will never forget these but the details fade. 5/22/09.

Who will go with me? Who will be animal guides? Owl comes to my chest , turns so she is facing outwards, talons out in front, is she protection for me here? Red fox trots at my left side, Coyote at my right. Snake is wrapped around me. I choose big tree to follow roots to underworld. I climb dow the roots until roots run out then muddy tunnel descends farther into the earth. I travel down and down through this tunnel until I come to a dirt and mud cavern. In the cavern the re is nothing. It is about as big as a 4 to 5 story building high and house length long. At the other end I see a small door. As I approach the door I see that it is a round slide downward. I take the slide and again I travel down and down some more lasting about 10 minutes. At the bottom of the hole I Emerge into a small yard to a small house. The house is 1 room wide and 3 rooms long. I enter the house through a wood and screen door asking if anyone is home. There is a woman there from a previous dream I had. she says "remember me I was your mother here for awhile". I say "I remember. But you were not really my mother only acting like it". She says "Yes I know but I took care of you when you came here". I answered with a nod. I ask her if the other world is here and she points to a door on the opposite side of the house. As I walk through the house I notice there is a mud room as I had entered and this turned into a kitchen and then living room area. The door on the other side is a doorway with no door, but I know that there is a barrier there. I ask if I can go there. The woman says that I can.

I walk through the door. What I see is a woods to the left. I am walking towards the woods and I get into it about 3 feet but don't seem to be going anywhere so I turn around and look straight ahead. Straight ahead is boulders of all sizes as far as I could see, which was about 50 yards. I start climbing over the boulders at this point Coyote is with me and Snake is crawling through the boulders beside me. This is hard going so I go back and look to the right and see a forest. I walk a half a mile or so through the forest with all 4 of the animal guides at my side. The animal guides indicate that we are done for this Journey so we return to this world. I thank them for taking this journey with me and ask them if they are my spirit animal guides. They say yes they are.

I used drumming to start this Journey and I used reiki symbols to feel the power when beginning. I used Cho Ku Rei, Sei He Ki , Dai Ko Mio and Raku.

Intent

I am starting this blog for my journey memories. These are Shamanic journeys. I do not want to lose the symbolism in the journeys. These journrys are for my own spiritual growth and to understand this world better, to understand others better and to see what is unseen.

I believe in my spirit animal guides whether or not they are real. They exist from the spirit world as symbolism and a way for the true source and light to show you the way. They are a way for you to see what is needed and what needs to be let go. They help you in your life to make decisions and to see what is hidden.

You can learn all the aspects of your soul. You can retrieve the pieces of your soul that are lost from all the loss and trauma in your past.

These journeys are to the underworld, the middle world and the upper world. I am starting with the underworld to meet my current animal guides and my human spirit guide. I hope to heal mind and body here. I hope to learn about the world here and I hope to gain more spiritual power here. This, I think will help me in meditation and natural altered states of consciousness.
